Gareth is a Distinguished Research Professor at the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, and has been elected Life Fellow of the International Academy of Management for his international contributions to the science and art of management. He is a prominent keynote speaker in the field of management education, has consulted with dozens of leading organizations throughout Europe and North America, and is author of seven books on management, including: Images of Organization; Imaginization: New Ways of Thinking, Organizing and Managing; Riding the Waves of Change, and Creative Organization Theory. Translated into fifteen languages, Images of Organization is used as a core management text at universities and corporate development programs worldwide. His work and ideas have been at the forefront of many contemporary management trends -- developing learning organizations; managing decentralized networks; integrating action-based learning and improved job performance; creating flexible teams; unleashing creativity and innovation, using paradox and self organization to find new methods of managing change.
