Join us for a rich
conversation about organizational ecosystems!
Traditional business practices and
change initiatives are being influenced and altered by a new breed of people
driven organizational ecosystems that look, feel and operate as complex
adaptive systems -- never static, never linear and always emerging. In this
session, participants will understand how to recognize, influence and integrate
these ecosystems for engagement, innovation and growth. A continually shifting
organizational landscape requires a deeper understanding of how the people --
as individuals and in groups and organizations function as complex,
unpredictable, pattern-based agents instead of predictable well oiled machines.
This session will provide frameworks and tools that offer new possibilities for
action within these powerful ecosystems.
Our guest will be Denise Easton. Denise is an entrepreneur, consultant and CEO with a passion
for product innovation, business management, organization strategy and
development. She has worked extensively across the corporate, public, education
and non-profit industry/domains, and brings multi industry experience and
expertise in business management and product development, network/knowledge
systems, strategic innovation, and complexity science (human systems dynamics). In 1999 Denise founded and continues
to serve as CEO of ULiveandLearn, a leading knowledge management firm focused
on the design, development, production and strategic integration of digital
knowledge and learning ecologies for organizations. She served as the section
co-editor and multi-media editor for the international peer-reviewed academic
e-journal Innovate. Denise has published extensively, most recently in the
International Conference of Complexity Science 2011 proceedings.
